Is there a notary near me? Yes — I come to you.
Statewide Florida notarization by Remote Online Notarization (RON), plus in-person mobile notary across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. No office to drive to.
"Notary near me" usually means you want someone available now, not necessarily someone in a fixed office. EMC answers that two ways: Remote Online Notarization (RON) puts a commissioned Florida notary in front of you by video from anywhere in the state, and mobile notary brings me in person to South Florida addresses.
Which option is actually "near" you?
Two paths, both start from wherever you already are:
- Remote Online Notarization (RON) — available anywhere in Florida, any time you have a webcam, a government-issued photo ID, and about 10 minutes. This is the closest thing to "a notary near me" for most searches, because it removes the near-me constraint entirely: I come to your screen instead of you coming to an office.
- Mobile notary (in person) — for documents that legally require physical presence (VIN verification, some estate signings with elderly or hospital-bound signers) or when a signer simply prefers in person. Available across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. I travel to your home, workplace, hospital room, or a title office.
If you're not sure which applies to your document, tell us what you're signing when you book and we'll route you to the right option before you pay for anything.
No storefront, no problem
A traditional notary near-me search assumes a fixed location: a UPS Store, a bank branch, a shipping counter. EMC doesn't work that way. Florida's RON law (F.S. Chapter 117, Part II) lets a commissioned Florida notary complete a fully valid notarization for a signer anywhere in the state, with the same identity verification (credential analysis plus knowledge-based authentication) and the same legal weight as an in-person notarization. For most document types, that means the fastest path to "near me" is the RON session, not a drive.
Mobile notary still matters for the documents and signers RON can't reach: physical vehicle inspections, in-person estate signings where a family wants everyone in the same room, and situations where a signer isn't comfortable with a webcam-based session.
What you'll need before you start
- A government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport)
- A working webcam and stable internet connection (RON only)
- The unsigned document — Florida notaries cannot notarize a signature that already happened
- About 10-15 minutes for a straightforward single-document session
Frequently asked questions
Is there a notary near me in Florida?
Yes, in the sense that matters: EMC reaches you by Remote Online Notarization (RON) anywhere in Florida, or in person across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. You don’t need to find a physical near-me location; the notary comes to you instead.
What's the difference between a notary near me and remote online notarization?
A traditional "near me" search looks for a fixed location you drive to. RON is a live video session with a commissioned Florida notary who verifies your ID and witnesses your signature remotely, with the same legal validity as an in-person notarization under F.S. Chapter 117, Part II.
Can any document be notarized remotely instead of finding a notary near me in person?
Most can. Exceptions include documents that require physical inspection, like a vehicle VIN verification (HSMV 82042), which has to be done in person. If you're unsure, tell us the document type when you book.
How fast can I get something notarized if I search "notary near me" right now?
A RON session can typically start within minutes of booking, once your ID and document are ready. Mobile in-person appointments depend on travel time within Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach.
Does a mobile or remote notary cost more than a notary near me at a bank or shipping store?
Pricing is itemized, never bundled. Mobile: The notarial act itself is capped at $10 per signature under Florida law (F.S. §117.05(2)), billed as its own line, separate from travel. Travel: First 20 miles at the standard mileage rate ($0.725/mile, the 2026 IRS business rate): a $14.50 minimum. Each additional mile beyond 20 is billed at double the standard rate ($1.45/mile). RON runs $25/act at Florida's online cap (F.S. §117.275) plus a service and coordination fee starting at $20 (varies with document complexity, scheduling, and support needs). See /services/mobile-in-person-notary and /pricing for the full breakdown.
