Scope of service

Notarization service only. EMC Remote Notary is a commissioned Florida notary public. Notarization is not legal advice or legal representation.

Service eligibility

EMC Remote Notary services are available to individuals who: (1) can present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID; (2) have a stable internet connection and a camera-equipped device; and (3) are legally capable of executing the document being notarized.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept credit card and ACH transfer. All fees are stated in U.S. dollars. Per-session pricing is listed at emcnotary.com/pricing. Enterprise and bulk pricing is available by arrangement.

Sessions that are completed as scheduled are non-refundable. If a session cannot be completed due to a technical failure on our end, you will not be charged or will receive a full refund. If a document is rejected by the receiving party for reasons unrelated to our notarial act, no refund is issued.

Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled session without charge up to 30 minutes before the appointment start time. Cancellations made less than 30 minutes before the session may be charged a cancellation fee equal to the session fee. No-shows are charged in full. Limitation of liability

EMC Remote Notary's liability is limited to the fees paid for the session in which any alleged error occurred. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to document rejection by third parties, delays in recording, or downstream transaction failures. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law.

RON statute compliance

All remote online notarization sessions are conducted in compliance with Florida Statutes §117.201–117.245 (the Florida Remote Online Notarization Act). Acceptance of Florida-notarized documents by other states, recorders, agencies, or courts may vary. See our state compliance guide for jurisdiction-specific information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
