Who you can refer
A referral is anyone you send our way who books and completes a notarization session using your unique referral link — a client of your firm, a customer closing on a property, a patient who needs a healthcare directive witnessed, or anyone else in your professional network who needs a document notarized. The program itself is open to any professional with a client base whose work regularly touches documents that need to be signed and notarized:

How payouts work
EMC Remote Notary Network pays a referral commission for each session that a client books through your link and completes — not a cut of a marketing spend or a recurring subscription. The commission is tied to the session actually happening, not to the client simply clicking your link or scheduling a time, so payout and outcome stay connected.
Payouts are calculated once a referred session is marked complete in our system, and commissions are processed monthly. You can see the running total for every referral, including which sessions have been completed and which payouts are still pending, at any time from your partner dashboard.
What doesn’t qualify
Most referrals qualify without any extra steps, but a few situations don’t earn a payout:
- A referral who books a session but doesn't complete it (no-show or cancellation) — no payout is generated until the session is completed.
- Self-referrals — referring yourself, a member of your own household, or someone who is already an active EMC client with an existing booking.
- A referral already tracked under a different partner’s link — only the link that was present at the time of booking is credited.
- A session booked without your referral link or code present — we can only attribute a session we can trace back to you.
How referrals are tracked
Every approved partner gets a unique referral link (or code) tied to their own account. When a client uses that link to book, the session is attributed to you automatically — there’s no manual reporting or invoicing required on your end. Your partner dashboard shows every click, every booking, and every completed session tied to your link in real time, along with the status of each associated payout.
